Sounds like an excuse about WW2 because the series is just getting stale. People just don't like these kinds of shooting games anymore and they're just generally heading in the wrong direction. The same issues are plaguing the Battlefield series. I know a few people who moved on to other games because they just don't innovate. Slapping a different historical age on the same game with a few tweaks and a couple new gimmicks isn't going to cut I anymore. There are too many other games competing for our time as gamers.

Look at how low effort overwatch 2 is to understand the problem is way more than just the ww2 setting.
