Dead Or Alive 6 video game

E3 2018: Dead or Alive 6 First Hands-On: Can Team Ninja Balance Familiar and Fresh?

+1

This is some very bad news for fans of Dead or Alive games. It sounds like they're taking the series in a different direction, and a lot of things fans of the series (myself included) are being toned down. Worse, it sounds like they're trying to turn the series into something a bit more casual. Which more than likely means the game is just going to be easier overall.

This preview is absolutely awful. They say the gameplay is just the same, yet they have buzzwords like "streamlined game play" there, which we all know means they're dumbing things down and making it simpler to play. Which is exactly what you don't want in a sequel to a fighting game. A fighting game is the same because it still has punches and kicks? lol.

The preview is just so all over the place, I don't like it at all, it frequently contradicts itself. It looks like Dead or Alive 6 is heading toward a toned down, simple, "streamlined" "experience". And fans of the series won't like it, from what I'm reading.

I'm honestly surprised they haven't pulled the lame trick developers and publishers do when they neuter and "streamline" a game, where they just drop the number from the game and pretend the earlier games don't exist.
