Disgaea 5 Complete is missing some important features for the PC version

Disgaea 5 Complete for the PC has had a troubled launch, from NISA accidentally releasing the entire game in the demo, to the consequential delay, to the localization issues that are so bad things are mislabeled.

Now, it looks like the NISA Disgaea 5 Complete debacle has gotten worse, somehow. The PC version is missing the map editor, as well as some multiplayer features. NISA had a few excuses as to why it's missing, including blaming Sony for intervening. But, that's not stated anywhere on the Steam page (at least at the time of the game's release).

The situation is made worse, because these features are unlocked after some time in the game, at least a few hours. As you may know, Steam has a 2 hour refund policy. Essentially, if you don't go out of your way to research the missing features, you won't know they're missing until you're past the refund window. I've seem some reports of some people getting refunds even after the window has expired. So if the map editor and multiplayer are features you expected, because they're in other versions of the game, you should still try and get a refund if you want one.

Other missing features from the PC version of Disgae 5 Complete include:

Netherworld Hub, Strategy Assembly (where you post "news" to the news ticker for other players to see), the ability to toggle the news ticker, Netherworld Edit Shop (so you can edit your pocket netherworld/home base), and Data Shop (where you can view other people's netherworld's they've created.

All of these features seem like they're a lot easier to exploit if you're on a PC than if you're on a console. And it looks like instead of making them secure and not easy to hack/break/exploit/etc, NISA has just removed them from the PC version, without really telling people about it.

The Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation 4 versions are not affected and still have these features missing from the PC version. However, it's worth noting that there are mods which can fix a lot of the issues with Disgaea 5 Complete on PC.
