Animal Buddies: Donkey Kong Country : Gamesense.co

This Donkey Kong Country had some of the best animal buddies. Animal buddies are unlocks you get for a level found in crates, and you ride them and they have special abilities. DKC has rhinos, swordfish, frogs, and ostriches. Sadly, Squawks the parrot isn't as helpful as in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddys Kong Quest and only shines a light in one level. But Winky the frog and Expresso the Ostrich don't make it into the later games, and they're some of my favorite ones.
