DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age PC Performance Analysis
The game is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and its lovely characters have been designed by Akira Toriyama so it’s time to benchmark it and see how it performs on the PC platform.
Overall, Dragon Quest XI seems to run pretty well. It's not overly optimized, but it's not horrible, either. As long as you have a quad core or better, your CPU will be fine. AMD Vega and GTX 980 Ti were able to run it at a steady 60fps at 1080p, with some drops to 55fps when running at 1440p. 4k was a different story, where you'll want to aim for 30fps instead of 60.
There are not a lot of graphics options to change, which isn't a surprise since the game depends heavily on art style to carry the graphics. However, there seems to be some issues with pop in and low res textures.
