Edge of Eternity will release in June for PC, later for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Midgard Studios and Dear Villagers have announced that the JRPG Edge of Eternity will be released on June 8th for PC, with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S release coming in Q4 2021 alongside the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Edge of Eternity will be a Game Pass title. Edge Of Eternity takes place on the planet Heryon, and will feature a large open world filled with ancient cities and spaceships dotted amongst the landscape. The story will have multiple paths as it will depend on player’s actions and choices. You can also listen to some of the soundtrack that was recorded by the Bratislava Symphonic Orchestra. Jeremy Zeler, founder of Midgar Studios, said: “We’ve poured our whole heart into making Edge Of Eternity.It’s a story of epic existential battles and intimate personal dramas. This isn’t because it’s bad in any way, but it just feels a bit disjointed and I’m hoping that the final polish will improve this. Some stand out battles, nice environments and a bizarre sequence involving a remarkably horny talking flower all point to this being worth looking out for when it’s finished, but the investment required doesn’t quite pay off in this early form. The small development team at Midgar Studios are committed to a release later this year, so here’s hoping that they can fill the impressive world they’ve created with more life and purpose.
