Cross Platform Mod Platform Turning Console Gamers Against Mod Developers
Fallout 4 script extender is a key component to making a lot of mods. It works by giving modders more tools to make mods. However, it doesn't work on consoles, it only works on PC. So, what happens, is mods use Fallout 4 script extender, and then those mods only work on the PC version since they depend on Fallout4 script extender, which only works on PC.
Bethesda promised that PC mods would be coming to all platforms. But that's not going to happen with mods that depend on Fallout 4 script extender. And the console gamers are furious. They don't understand that the mods that use Fallout 4 script extender won't work at all on their consoles. This is just a sample of the backlash. But you have console gamers saying they will steal someone's mod and enable it for the consoles.
But when you do that, it breaks the game and causes a ton of problems. The worst part of all of this is that it's basically Bethesda going back on their promises about cross platform mods.
