Fallout 76 Beta Starts Capping Frame Rate and FOV to Prevent Speed Hacks
It appears Bethesda has removed the ability to edit an INI file and get speed hacks by raising your FPS above 60. It's difficult to say how secure and long lasting this change will be. I don't think it'll take long for that to be removed. What Fallout 76 is going to need to stop these easy speed hacks is server validation that the game is running at the same speed as everyone else.
If you have a high frequency monitor, or you want to change your FOV, you're still screwed, even if you don't want to cheat and just want to enjoy the game.
This is definitely a mess, and it looks like the INI file editing speed hacks are just a symptom of larger problems with Fallout 76.
