Far Cry 5 Will Have Time Savers And Microtransactions
Remember when Far Cry 5 associate producer Philippe Fournier stated in an interview that the upcoming first-person shooter and how it won’t feature loot-boxes? Well, instead Far Cry 5 will sport microtransactions that consist of gun skins, prestige weapons, vehicles and other similar things.
Ubisoft lies about microtransactions. Who saw this coming? Worst is I fear that having "time savers" like this can lead to the game intentionally making parts of the game boring, tedious, and time consuming, so they can dangle a purchase in front of your face that lets you skip it.
I wish I were making this up, but we've already seen this plenty of times with mobile games. I doubt it'll be as bad as that, and it might not even be in Far Cry 5 (I'm just making some educated guesses here), but the opportunity for Ubisoft to really charge people a lot of money to skip waiting for things or skip boring parts of the game is huge with this information.
