No Load Screens, No Camera Cuts in God of War Seemed 'Impossible' Says Dev
In case you didn't already know, God of War is delivered as one unbroken shot from start to finish on PlayStation 4. The camera never cuts away, and there are no load screens. When we first heard about this during E3 last year, we couldn't quite bring ourselves to believe it. A whole game playing out through a single shot? Is that even possible?
I've been a little worried that the new God Of War will be more "cinematic" than the other games, but the fact that they've managed to get the game to have no loading screens or cuts for the whole game is very impressive.
God Of War is roughly 25 to 30 hours long, and with no major cuts or loading screens, it's going to be hard to put it down.
This is really a huge accomplishment, I don't think making a game have no cuts or loading screens has ever really been done before.

No load screens... unless you die. Also one continuous shot isn't as impressive as it sounds for a linear, over the shoulder corridor fighter like this. Witcher 3 had very few load screens most of the time for general gameplay. Arkham Asylum, too.
