Capcom has confirmed that both Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 will both be releasing for the Nintendo Switch on October 29th, which you could use as an excuse to start the Halloween celebrations early. Capcom had announced these ports at E3 but hadn’t given a date at the time.  In addition, North America will get a physical release via a triple pack which will also include Resident Evil 4. This triple pack will include Resident Evil 4 on a cartridge while the other two games will be digital downloads. The pack itself will cost $59.99. Anyone who is going to San Diego Comic Con will be able to play a demo of both Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 on the Switch. This isn’t the first time these Resident Evil games have been ported, previously making the jump from PS3 and Xbox 360 to the current generation of consoles. Way back when, nine years ago, in fact, our review for Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition was posted, and at the time there was a lot of praise getting a solid 8/10. There are a lot of issues for Capcom to address and spreading their focus hasn’t really worked in Resident Evil 6. Maybe a break of a few years for the franchise could be a good thing? It would allow for time to really decide where the series should go and to get the focus right before risking development of another title that disappoints core fans or splits opinion so wildly.” So basically I’m taking credit for Capcom’s approach to Resident Evil 7. You’re welcome. Source: Capcom
