No Man's Sea of Thieves

This was a really pessimistic view on Sea of Thieves. The game looks like it has so much potential, but there's a lot of missed opportunities.

One of the worst parts of Sea of Thieves seems to be how hand holding and safe it is. There's not really any threat, it's kind of like they were afraid of PvP, trolling, and griefing so much that they gave up on some positive interactions with other gamers. It can be fun if you are playing with friends, but that's not really saying much and that is not what I think makes a good game. When IAmPattyJack met other players in the game, he felt like he was penalized for it, because working with strangers in the game actually manages to make you less productive and accomplish less within in the game.

There also seems to be a big lack of things to do. The quests all seem pretty simple and repetitive.

According to this video, it's really just a simple, casual game where there's not much threat and you hang out with friends. Rare and Microsoft are planning on supporting Sea of Thieves for a while, and adding new content. But right now, I seriously get a vibe from this game like it'll be really fun for the first few hours and then get really boring.
