Interesting Take on Tower Defense Games
Tower Defence games are pretty popular on mobile. You have an overhead view and are rushed by enemy units, that come in waves. You then place your own units in strategic locations and have them defend a central tower from being reached by them. It's usually an overhead view. However, Star Fox Guard changes it up. Instead of an overhead view, you have a minimap on your gamepad, and a view from all 12 of your units on the screen. From there, you switch to which unit you want to control, and then you manually aim to destroy the units. Traditional tower defense games have the units do that automatically. Other typical tower defense mechanics, like different enemy units, different units for you to deploy, choosing location of where to place your units, etc are there. I normally like tower defense games, and Star Fox Guard is a pretty fun take on it.
