Star Wars Battlefront 2 Physical Sales 60 Percent Less Than Battlefront 1 In UK

Star Wars Battlefront 2 hasnâ€™t been doing too hot in the UK and it has now been revealed that EAâ€™s latest title had 60 percent fewer physical sales than its predecessor, Battlefront 1.

This situation is quite the turnaround considering that Battlefront 1 had the honor of being the biggest ever launch for a Star Wars title when it debuted in the UK in 2015.

And, of course, we know why this occurred: the microtransaction controversy.

I was a little worried that we would see gamers tolerate the microtransactions and pay to win schemes because this has Star Wars on it, but I'm very impressed and happy to see gamers skipping SWBF2 because of the microtransactions.

EA really over stepped their boundaries this time and this should send them a clear message that they need to back off.
