This game is simply a masterpiece. In my opinion, the best 3D Mario game of all time, hands down. Soundtrack, gameplay, controls, graphics, everything is there and is beautifully executed.

Super Mario Odyssey[a] is a 3D platform-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. An installment in the Super Mario series, the story follows Mario and Cappy, a spirit that possesses Mario's hat and allows him to take control of other characters and objects, as they set on a journey across various worlds to save Princess Peach from his nemesis Bowser, who plans to marry her. In contrast to the linear gameplay of prior entries, the game returns to the primarily open-ended, exploration-based gameplay previously featured in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.

Development began after the completion of Super Mario 3D World in 2013. Various ideas were suggested during development, and to incorporate them all, the team decided to employ a sandbox-style of gameplay. Unlike the more casual-oriented 3D World, the team designed it to specifically appeal more to the series' core audience. The game also features a theme song with lyrics, "Jump Up, Super Star!", which was a first for the series. Super Mario Odyssey was released worldwide on October 27, 2017, receiving universal acclaim from critics, with many calling it one of the best games in the series. Within three days of its release, the game had sold over two million copies worldwide.

The Bowser's Kingdom is a region in Super Mario Odyssey. A "Well-Defended Castle Floating Among the Glowing Clouds", Bowser's Kingdom is home to his very own Bowser's Castle from which the Koopa King lords over his domain - and yet still has time to open up a Crazy Cap Store.

Bowser's Kingdom is the thirteenth kingdom visited in Super Mario Odyssey. It is the home of Bowser and the greater location of his castle. Unlike in most games, in which it has a Western European design, this castle is a lush, flowering traditional Japanese castle, with a concentric series of walls and baileys, a traditional garden and tea house, and a central keep. Instead of the usual lava, its moats are filled with Poisoned Water.
