Super Mario Party Review - The Freshest Party
Overall, Super Mario Party seems to be a big improvement over the previous Mario Party games. Think of typical Mario Party, just with a lot of unpopular or rough things fixed. The only major downsides to Super Mario Party is the online play is a bit watered down. There's no way to play the full game online against others, instead, you go through small mini-game competitions. It sounds like a huge missed opportunity by not allowing full online play. I know I have friends who don't live near me I'd love to play Super Mario Party with.
The second big drawback is there's only 4 maps! That's pretty low, much lower than how many we typically get in a Mario Party game. But, if Splatoon is any indication, we should be getting more maps as time goes on. It's not confirmed, but it's a safe guess. I just hope they are free since Super Mario Party has fewer maps than previous Mario Party games.
