Banjo Kazooie Could Appear in Super Smash Bros says Phil Spencer
Everyone is excited about the announcement of a new Super Smash Bros. game for Nintendo Switch (or is it a port?). With any new game in the series the talk quickly changes to what characters people want in the games, though these are often full of impossible requests. Licensing is a nightmare for something like this..
The fact that Microsoft is willing to talk about putting Banjo Kazooie into Super Smash Bros 5 is a huge deal. Gamers have been wanting this for a while, but everyone was afraid it would never happen because Nintendo no longer has the rights to Banjo Kazooie.
Nintendo lost them when they sold Rareware to Microsoft. However, Microsoft is saying they wouldn't be opposed to adding Banjo Kazooie to Super Smash Bros. on Switch. Which is great news! Specially since Super Smash Bros 4 had a lot of third party representatives.
