www.thesixthaxis.comBandai Namco has released a teaser trailer for The Dark Picture Anthology: House of Ashes, giving us a first glimpse of the game’s middle eastern setting and hints as to the kind of ancient terror that will be giving you all manner of jumps and scares in the game. A bigger gameplay reveal is coming next week on 27th May. Set in Iraq, 2003, a unit of the invading US-led coalition is caught in a firefight with Iraqi forces in the shadow of the Zagros mountains. However, an earth tremor sees them both fall down into the ruins of a Sumerian temple, trapped in an underground maze that they have to try and escape. The one problem? There’s an ancient evil that has awoken and is now hunting them, with a creepy looking Alien/Predator style echolocation vision. This teaser trailer is set to be followed by an in-depth look at the gameplay of House of Ashes, coming at 5PM UK time on 27th May. House of Ashes will be released this year for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The third game in the Dark Pictures Anthology, House of Ashes was revealed just after the release of Little Hope last October. In fact, the first teasers for the upcoming game came in Little Hope, with a smattering of teases and premonitions as you played. The denizens of the internet were quick to speculate that House of Ashes could revolve around Pazuzu and the demons fo the underworld in the Arabian Desert of Iraq. Little Hope scored an impressive 9/10 in our review, with Tuffcub saying: If there was ever a time to sit down with some friends and play a scary game, it’s Halloween 2020,” said our reviewer. “Little Hope fits the bill perfectly The annoyances found in Man of Medan have been almost completely removed leaving a spooky tale with jump scares to giggle about, heart racing action, and tonnes of atmosphere. For £25 Little Hope is an absolute steal and highly recommended. Source: press release
