Valkyria Chronicles 4 Has Been in Development for Two Years; Aims to Return to the Series' Roots

SEGA surprised and excited many longtime Valkyria Chronicles fans (including myself) with the announcement of Valkyria Chronicles 4 for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch yesterday. Today, in an interview on the PlayStation Blog, Producer Kei Mikami gave us even more information about the title.

Apparently, Valkyria Chronicles 4 has been in active development for about two years, with the planning phase of development going back even further:

This is pretty awesome, it doesn't feel like a quick crash grab. They have been working on this in secret for two years, and they've been looking back at what made the earlier games so great and why people didn't like the later games.

I have a lot of high hopes for this game. There's a ton of potential here, and they're saying some really great things about the game.

A new Valkyria game project that will be announced on November 20th. New information will be added daily, 12pm JST, leading up to the announcement. It seems to be planned for a worldwide release based on the languages available on the site.
