25 Hours with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - PREVIEW (Featuring Chuggaaconroy!)
The battle system looks so much better than earlier Xenoblade Chronicle games. There looks like there's a lot more complexity to the battle system, and it's a bit newer system. Though they are complaining that the system is a little slow to introduce the more complex mechanics. After the system builds up, he says it's the best Xenoblade Chronicles battle system yet. And the best part is they say it has some room to git gud.
There's a good customization system that's a bit simpler but a bit more "tangible".
Quest log has been improved, and there's a ton of side quests. You have navigation settings to make it easier or harder to find where to go too. Most importantly, after 25 hours he says there are no side quests he found that left you guessing and confused and where to go. A huge upgrade from earlier games that did that to you.
Story and characters seem like they take a while to get used to too. The characters don't look awful like they did in XCX too.
In fact, it seems like the first few hours of this game are a little too basic and will take some time to warm up to. But once you get past that, it seems good. Which is not really a surprise, a lot of JRPGs are like that too.
