I've had Ys ix crash on me a few times while playing. It just did it to me again, I was playing on switch and had a goblin thing break a wall and it just closed the software. It's happened before, and I did buy it and an playing on a real switch.
I do enjoy Ys ix but be sure to save often as it will probably crash on you at least once.
