Wireless NES Controllers Won't Work With Other Games On Nintendo Switch

Not like the Nintendo Switch Online launch could be any more bungled. Bad news coming from Nintendo Life now. It appears that the NES controllers that you can only buy if you are a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber (and I've heard the price is $60), will only work with the NES games from Nintendo Switch Online.

So, you cancel your Nintendo Switch Online membership and buy the controllers, you have two useless controllers you spent $60 on. I'm sure people will get them working on PC in due time, but this is pretty ridiculous that even the controllers are behind a subscription paywall.
