Who can join?

Game Sense is open to anyone. Whether you just want to post about video games or manage your games, want to post videos from your channel, or want to update and add your game to Game Sense.

What games are allowed?

You can talk about any video games you want. New, old, AAA, indie, games you made for fun, etc. You can even talk about adult games, just keep your posts clean of adult content.

Can I talk about adult games?

Yes, as long as you're keeping your posts non-Adult and you're not doing things like posting anime tiddies.

How are you funded?

At the time of writing this, Game Sense is funded as a hobby project by a life long gamer. We've spent a lot of time optimizing code and the website's performance in general, so it costs much less to host than a lot of websites. We have no advertising budget and only spread via word of mouth, so any bit you can tell others about Game Sense (if you like us) is a huge help! So is joining and posting! Game Sense was built from the ground up knowing that money would be tight. We didn't want to have to use technology that would require money and us begging you for a lot of money. We have already seen gaming sites ask for solid 5 figures from gamers and then disappear after running poorly for a few years. That was never our intention and it's certainly not a based thing to do.

Doesn't that mean I'm the product being sold?

It's common for websites who give you free stuff to harvest your personal information and sell it. We don't do that. We have a much more interesting way to make money with Game Sense when it gets bigger. One that will benefit developers, gamers, and will help Game Sense grow. But we are not yet big enough to share details, and I don't want to sound concieted but this idea has not been done before and I'm pretty sure a larger website would just steal the idea. So buckle up and join us and help us grow to see what happens!

Who owns my posts?

Posts that you write belong to you, but you give Game Sense permission to use your posts on gamesense.co (and our social media sites) how we like.

Can I post my own stuff?

Absolutely! You are free to post your own videos, articles from other sites, and more. We just ask that you make it transparent and obvious that you're promoting yourself by using your same name and branding.

What's so different about Game Sense?

A lot of thought was put into how we could make Game Sense more than just a typical user review site. We believe, that through some new mathematical scoring systems we designed, we can create meaningful scores based on a video game's news, videos, reviews, and miscellaneous posts, without them having to be reviews. We can then break each post's attributes down for you to filter them out and see how specific posts affect a score.

How much freedom do I have?

We believe in giving gamers to speak freely about any games they find interesting. We work hard to use as few third party options as possible so fewer outside sources have influence over Game Sense's content. Our only major rule is that you avoid political preaching, i.e. talking about how you personally feel your personal politics affect your game. You are free, however, to talk about how political influences have affected a game (like a game giving in to censorship because of "outrage").
